Well today the club met for the first time: we have 6 members and we kicked off with watching "Jane's Journey" and then all had a look at the new Blog Spot. This next week we are going to think about 3 different projects which we can get involved in: a people project, an animal project and a plant project.
Judging by the reactions this afternoon - all footage of baby chimpanzees got the biggest "aaahhhhs". But we know that there are so many projects which we can get involved in. So guys let's put our heads together. Post ideas under the comment section here about project ideas. To brainstorm, we can perhaps answer this question:
"If I could wish for one thing for our planet it would be...."

25 July 2011 - WELCOME
Welcome all new members at Forres Preparatory School on this exciting new journey. Our Mrs van der Hoven has been away this past week to Zambia. We hope to see some of her photos soon!
We are going to spend this week looking at the areas which each of us feels strongly aligned to - we will identify our particular interests and concerns in matters Ecological and then we will draw up a plan of commitment and action!
It is uncanny that the week in which we begin in earnest to get our Roots and Shoots club up and running, Jane Goodall should be in Cape Town, presenting a talk to our neighbouring school Bishops! Let us take this to be a good omen for the little club which we have created.
